I watched this movie aadukalam. There is a character ‘pettaikaran’. He is an old man. He is highly respected in that locality. He is a king in the rooster fights. ‘Pettaikaran’ is the title given to him since he never looses a rooster fight. He has a wife, much younger than him by age. She would run away from her home to live with this ‘pettaikaran’.
One, one and half years back, there was a movie ‘jayam kondan’. There is a villain character in the movie. He is a powerful man in that area. His wife also runs away from her family to live with him. She admires him.
Today, a close friend had sent me an article. The crux of it is that women fall for men who hold power and men who own a lot of wealth, irrespective of their age or anything else. More so, younger women get attracted to older men who are powerful. There are some examples given in the article.
Few months ago, I read another article. This also talks about women falling for men. It says, more women fall for men who are intellectuals than good looking ones. Again, irrespective of the age. The article points out Salman Rushdie as one among those men.
These are all based on research.
If that is the case, there are lesser men who attract majority of women.
Most women make a compromise with their preferences in having a partner. And, most men live with women that are not attracted towards them.
Relationships run on compromises. Anything, New???
